(Park)dale is a joint design and research project into tactical
urbanism and forgotten spaces within the city. Focused on the amenity starved
neighbourhood of Parkdale, west of Toronto’s downtown core, the project
questions how forgotten spaces within the city, such as alleys, parking lots,
and abandoned buildings can be retooled for a relatively low cost into high
quality, bottom up, urban spaces which support the needs and desires of the
community.
